In this study,the history of hybridization between indica and japonica rices was summarized.The advancements of conventional breeding using hybridization between indica and japonica rices,heterosis application between indica and japonica rices,crassification of Asian cultivated rices and heredity of hybridization between indica and japonica rices were analyzed and summarized.The advise about hybridization between indica and japonica rices was proposed according to the present condition and advancement of hybridization between indica and japonica rices.
