Measures for enhancing the corn yield were discussed in the paper, i.e. the selection of proper varieties, sowing technique for a full stand of corn seedling, field cultural practices, fertilizer application technique and controlling of head smut. All these measures aimed at enhancing the corn yield, raising the total corn production in Jilin province and boosting the income of farmers at the same time.
