New breeding goal,breeding of maize inbred lines and maize hybrid and issues in the industrialization of waxy corn were discussed in the paper.It was pointed out that we should speed up renewal of breeding goal and come into connect with the industry as soon as possible in order to accelerate breeding of new variety of waxy corn in our country,broaden the current germplasm base,meet the demand of large-scale corn processing enterprises.
