Sweet potato,one of the main foodstuff crops,covers an area of 6.0×106hm² annually in China which ranks first in the world.The total yield of sweet potato ranks the third in China,coming next to rice and corn.However,with the continuous adjustment of the planting structure in agriculture,the cultivation area of sweet potato is changing accordingly.In order to guarantee the total output and achieve a stable development of sweet potato when the area of cultivation reduced during the process of adjustment of the planting structure in agriculture researches on how to make a comprehensive use of sweet potatoes has to be done so that sweet potatoes could play a full role in agricultural production.
