Based on early fruiting,abundant and high ratio flower branches,some tree shapes such as natural open-centered training,dispersive and layered training or spindle shaped training should be selected for precocious walnut.According to some experimental results,tree should be pruned during dormant period and finished before the budding in order to avoid bleeding.The application of different pruning techniques depended on tree age and characteristics of growth and bearing of the trees.Some issues during pruning period should be paid attention to were suggested at the end of the paper.
