‘Pinot noir’ was introduced to Jilin province in 1999 by Pomology Institute,Academy of A-gricultural Sciences of Jilin Province from Horticultural Institute,Ningxia Academy of Agricultural Sci-ences.The vigor of this variety is medium and vines can be properly matured.It is winter hardy and resis-tant to diseases.Its yield is also high and small cluster is compact.Fruit was regular and with same color,flash was soft.It matured properly and can be used as wine color adjusting variety in producing superior wine or producing single variety wine.This variety can be widespread in Jilin province.
