Food safety is one of the major issues that people are generally concerned about.It has a close bearing on stability and development of the economy.Based on extensive researches done by scholars at home and abroad,the author reviewed and summed up from the following five areas,namely the cognitive process of food safety issue,the factors that affect food safety,consumer behaviors of food safety（awareness,willingness to pay and the impact of information included）,producers’ actions of food safety as well as government management of the issue.The author also pointed out the shortcomings existed in researches and hopes to deepen people’s understanding of food safety issues and for experts and scholars to draw lessons from in further studies.
