Taking typical characteristics and advantage agricultural industry districts in Gansu Province for example,the regional distribution and development situation of potato and chinese herbal medicines industry districts were introduced in the paper.Using the location quotient and the centralize coefficient,an empirical analysis of these two industry districts which are typical in Gansu province was made.Based on theoretical analysis of industrial development stage,the potato industry district in Gansu province is still in the formation phase,and the Chinese herbal medicines industrial districts is in the transition from formation phase to expansion phase.At last,some suggestions were put forword,such as strengthening the building of production bases of superior agricultural products,strengthening the logistics,developing main agro-processing enterprises,etc.
