New soybean cultivar’Jiyu 502’was released by Soybean Research Centre,Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Jilin Province.The results of regional trials during 2009-2010 showed that its average yield was 3041.6 kg/hm²,which was 9.1% higher than control cultivar’Jiyu 72’.The results of production test in 2010 showed its average yield was 3405.6 kg/hm²,which was 11.0%higher than control cultivar’Jiyu 72’.Its main characters were high and stable yield,high resistance to diseases,resistant to lodging and good quality.
