This paper described the development process of rice-crab model,the history characteristics of which were divided into three stages: rising stage,thinking stage and the stage of basic research.It was showed that this model had played a positive role in the ecosystem.In addition,a new type of rice-crab model,’Panshan model’ had been described.At last,some advice on the development direction of the rice-crab model in the future was provided.
