In order to prevent yellow-white dysentery of piglet effectively,132 piglets naturally infected with yellow-white dysentery were selected as experimental animals and they were randomly assigned to three groups,each group included 44 piglets.Group I was treated with western medicine,group Ⅱwas treated with traditional Chinese medicine and group Ⅲ was treated with integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine.The test lasted for 30days.The results showed that 42 piglets were cured in group Ⅲ,and the cure rate was up to 95.5%.The cured piglets in group Ⅲ was 19 and 18 more than in group Ⅰand group Ⅱ,respectively,and the cure rate in group Ⅲ was 43.2% and 41% more than in group Ⅰand group Ⅱ,respectively.The difference reached extremely significant（P＜0.01）.Weight of each piglets in group Ⅲ increased 1.83±0.12 kg and 1.48±0.08 kg more than that of group Ⅰand group Ⅱ,respectively,and the difference was extremely significant（P＜0.01）.The total weight of piglets in group Ⅲ increased 207.7 kg and 192.24 kg compared with group Ⅰand group Ⅱ,respectively,and the difference was extremely significant（P＜0.01）.In group Ⅲ we gained 5450.6 yuan RMB and 5147.72 yuan RMB than in group Ⅰ and group Ⅱ,and the difference was extremely significant（P＜0.01）.Combined therapy of yellow-white dysentery of piglets with traditional Chinese and western medicine not only enhanced survival rate and growth performance of piglets,but also increased economic income.
