A new soybean cultivar ‘Jiyu 407’ was developed by Soybean Research Institute,Jilin Academy of Agricultural Sciences by crossing of ‘Jiujiao 8866-12’ and ‘Tie90035-17’.The results ofregional trials during 2010-2011 showed that its average yield was 2952 kg/hm²,which was 3.1%higher than control cultivar/Jiunong 21’.The results of production test in 2012 showed that its average yield was 3013.5 kg/hm²,which was 4.9%higher than control cultivar ‘Jiyu 86’.It was approved by National Committee of Crop Variety Examination and was released in 2013.
