Abstract:With two varieties of cabbage‘Sanyueqing’ and ‘Qingliuye’as experimental test material, their chlorophyll content were determined by using SPAD-502 chlorophyll meter and mixing ethanol and acetone method. The correlation between SPAD value and chlorophyll content of cabbage leaves was analyzed by comparison of linear,logarithmic, power, and exponential functions correlation. The results showed that chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, total chlorophyll content and SPAD values of different varieties of cabbage were different. Correlation analysis showed that chlorophyll content and SPAD values was significantly related. It suggested that a very good response leafSPAD value with chlorophyll content of the whole plant. Through the establishment of the equation, chlorophyll content could be calculated by the SPAD values. This method is simple, and does not damage the leaves, so the integrity of the plant can be kept.
