31 peanut varieties genealogy registered in Jilin Province during 2001-2016 were analyzed in the paper.15 parents were selected for breeding 31 peanut varieties, among these parents there were 1 local variety of Jilin Province, 3 inter medium strain, 10 improved variety, and 1 wild germplasm resources.‘Silihong’and‘Baisha1016’were core parents of registered varieties in Jilin Province. 10 varieties were bred using‘Silihong’as parent and 5 varieties using‘Baisha 1016’as parent. The results showed that high yield, cold resistance, drought resistance, alkali-tolerance, high-oil or protein, and high oleic acid should be aim for peanut breeding in Jilin Province.
