A new sorghum hybrid‘Jiza 149’was bred in Crops Resources Research Institute, Jilin Academy of Agricultural Sciences with‘Ji 2055 A’as female parent and‘Ji R9060’as male parent. The variety had the following ad-vantages, such as better comprehensive characteristics, high starch content, high resistance and wide adaptability.The variety was suited to be grown in Songyuan, Baicheng, Siping, parts of Changchun and Jilin of Jilin province,Chifeng, Tongliao, and Hetao area of Inner Mongolia, and the first and second accumulated temperature zone in Heilongjiang province.
