Abstract:The yield and quality of strawberry are seriously affected by gray mold.In this study, the resistance of 29 dominant strawberry varieties in Hebei Province to gray mold was determined by indoor potted plants, indoor leaf discs and field plots experiments. The leaf physiological indexes of different resistant strawberry varieties were deter-mined by spectrophotometry method, and the relationship between the resistance and physiological indexes were analyzed. The results showed that among the 29 strawberry varieties,5,14,6 and 4 varieties were highly resistant, moderately resistant, moderately sensitive and highly sensitive to gray mold, respectively, accounting for 13.8%,51.7%,20.7% and 13.8% of the total. The represented varieties were Shuofeng,Mingbao,Hongyan and Meixiangsha. And whose disease index of gray mold at the first spike fruit harvest stage was only 7.32,7.75 and 11.38,respectively,which was more than 61% lower than that of Hongyan,a susceptible variety. The yields of Sweet Charlie and Shuofeng were as high as 36,187 kg/ha and 35,340 kg/ha,respectively.After inoculation with Botrytis cinerea, the contents of total phenolics, flavonoids and soluble protein in the leaves of the resistant varieties were significantly higher than those in susceptible varieties, but there was no significant correlation between the content of chlorophyll and disease resistance,as well as the water content in leaves.
