Abstract:In order to explore the response of the strawberry fruit quality to exogenous selenium(Se) and the relationship between fruit quality and the concentration of Se. Through pot experiment and foliar spraying, the effects of different concentrations of sodium selenite(Na2SeO3) on quality indexes of strawberry fruit were studied. The results showed that exogenous Na2SeO3 could significantly increase fruit average weight, fruit shape index, sugar/acid ratio and the contents of soluble solids, total phenol and Vc in strawberry fruit. For above fruit indexes, 30 mg/L Na2SeO3 was the appropriate treatment concentration. In addition, Na2SeO3 also significantly increased the contents of anthocyanin and protein in strawberry fruit, and the appropriate treatment concentration was 10 mg/L Na2SeO3. Above results suggested that exogenous Na2SeO3 could significantly improve quality indexes of strawberry fruit. Overall, 30mg/L Na2SeO3 was the appropriate treatment concentration However, 10 mg/L Na2SeO3 was the appropriate treatment concentration in improving the contents of anthocyanin and protein. Therefore, this study indicated that the concentration of Se could be flexibly adjusted according to different requirements, in order to improve corresponding quality of strawberry fruit.
