Abstract:Compared with traditional breeding methods, corn haploid breeding technology can greatly optimize traditional breeding methods. Effective use of this technology can save a significant amount of breeding time and costs,and achieve significant results. Currently, there are relatively rich techniques for haploid selection in maize and the identification methods used are relatively diverse. In order to ensure widespread application and promotion of haploid maize cultivation technology, scientific research and application should be carried out in conjunction with the current situation. This article reviews the progress of research on methods for obtaining and identifying maize haploids, and discusses the application of maize haploid selection technology as a reference for the promotion and application of this technology.
