Analysis of broad heritability showed that the high fertility of hybrid Progency inindica-japonica bridge breeding can be inherited and that selection was effective in early generations. Therefore, the problem that excellent Plant was eliminated for low fertility in early generation could be solved. Analysis’ of correlation and path analysis among various characters of F1 and analysis of heterosis indicated that the selection of other agronomic characters of indica-japonica bridge brecding may be treated as in conventional breeding. Although negative correlation was found between grain yield and quality in indica-japonica bridge breeding, Some individual characters of grain yield with quality could improve eaeh other through bridge breeding. The offspring parents relationship was significant in bridge breeding. Thus, lt was necessary that we should ccnsider parents characters, variety type and breeding objective during the designing for cross breeding Program.
