Quantitative inheritance of 5×5 complete diallel Crosses were analyzed for three spike traits, panicle length, number of primaries per panicle and fength of panicle axis using the method Ⅰ of Griffing. The results showed that all the three traits were adequate to the additive—dominance model. The distrbution of genes among the parents was not equivalent. The parents, Jishou 3A and 3092A possessed more dominance genes.
